Mountainside Treatment Center is a great place for recovery I highly recommend it wonderful staff and the place is very clean and neat. I love Amy she is on the counselors there she is super sweet and she can teach and help you grow as a new person in recovery she has helped me so much. I highly recommend her as a counselor!

Skywood was an amazing experience for me. I have never been to a rehab facility before and I cannot recommend this place enough! The staff were great and my therapist was the best! I am A 47yr old wife and mother of 2 teenagers, and I work full time. I have never had issues with addiction in my past but using made me feel amazing, it made me feel confident and it made my brain quit going and going. I was diagnosed with ADHD and now I am medicated and feel much more normal. I ended up doing 45 days of in patient and I am doing 8 weeks of out patient. I am a cocaine addict and I have learned so much about myself mentally and all the skills needed to overcome this disease!

I was fortunate to go to Skywood this year. I have been to another facility which I thought was pretty nice. I now know what a Great facility is. The campus alone is beautiful, the woods, the buildings, the trails. The staff are well rounded. Multiple styles of therapy, decades of personal experience all shared in multiple different classes, small groups, one on ones and community wide lessons. Great staff also keep the large campus and large community running. The food, entertainment and activities are constant. The large campus offers plenty of fresh air and room to roam. You are not trapped inside locked buildings. The community bonding in the afternoons and evenings makes for an easy environment to get sober and learn about your sobriety. I would hands down recommend Skywood to anyone who is serious about doing the work and getting sober.

This place is amazing!!! The entire staff of therapists are very knowledgeable and each bring something different to your recovery journey. As others have stated in the reviews, they truly changed my life and how I view my recovery. I cannot endorse and suggest this outpatient more. I’ve attended other IOP’s, but this facility is simple the best! I didn’t attend their inpatient, but I heard from my peers that it is also top notch. I’m back to work now, but I sometimes miss this place. Nothing but love and gratitude for Skywood!!!

One year ago, I would start my day violently sick & wishing for the suffering to stop. TODAY, I am counting down two weeks to ONE YEAR CLEAN. Maybe you're in the same shoes. Stay at an absolute bare minimum a week, it then gets much easier to claw your way to 30 days. Embrace the LOVE you can find on here. Be honest and unashamed. Say what you think, what you're going through, but more importantly LISTEN, be open-minded - that's how to get the most out of your time here. The place is not bad/fine/good. You have a clean room, bed, and facility, showers. Some of these other reviews mention amazing food: this is no five star hotel. What do you expect? For the staff, some have a little more patience and empathy than others, you can pretty quickly pick out who's been 'through it' and who hasn't. Advocate for yourself respectfully and you will be heard, everyone I've ever met there has been only focused on helping. But man... Be KIND. Kind and respectful and I promise you will get nothing but the same back. It's not gonna be for everyone, that's your call. Some of it is tough love, but that's how recovery works. Bear River saved my life, being able to not only recover and learn in such a professional and comfortable environment was outstanding. The main campus/hotel place is phenomenal and the staff was genuinely some of the nicest people I've ever met. It was an empowering and humbling experience being able to stay here and I'm officially a year and a half sober because of it. Thank you Bear River!

It’s my second day home after the procedure starting on Monday and leaving Thursday. I haven’t had nausea, sweated or had diarrhea once since the procedure starrted and up until now. I’m moving around perfectly fine. The only problem I have is the restless legs which they give you meds for when you leave. I was coming off 24 mg suboxone I’ve been stuck on. If your want to be clean and actually get that dopamine feeling just listening to music get to this place as fast as possible. Don’t end up dead like the thousands we’ve seen already

Well I’ve been using fetty over 10 years I’ve been on methadone for 2 years I still use fetty once in a while well maybe now about 2 times a week sometimes more I’ve really tried to kick it all I just want off of everything I’m desperate I’d like to no more about how this procedure goes because I see skit of people say it hurts an that it’s rough well isn’t being door sick the same thing so it makes me wonder what would be the point if your still going to feel bad ? Is there any kind of withdrawals that u will feel what about this procedure makes u hurt ? I have so many questions

Excellent rehab program and caring staff! They offer multiple levels of care to fit any needs. They have transitional housing close to the downtown Petoskey area and within walking distance to employment opportunities.

The nurses are so sweet and caring. Nobody here gives you attitude or they treat you with the upmost respect. I feel as if they genuinely care about my well-being. I recommend this clinic over any of the other ones in the metro detroit- downriver area. They are the best!

Working Health is an amazing online LISCENED clinic for those opiate users wanting to get off the hard stuff and maintain a better sobriety. They have one on ones,, as wells as doodle diary , they offer ao many unique groups that are fun interesting and full Of different ideas on how to stay healthy stay sober and watch our lives excellent! This place was a pivotal part of my recovery journey. I was here twice, once in September 2019 and once in March 2023 (which was my last time in rehab). I’ve been to several different rehabs all over the state and I’ll say this: Brighton isn’t the nicest facility, they don’t have the best food, but Brighton has THE BEST therapy, therapist, and THERE is where you get some of the most one-on-one time with your therapist. They give you real thoughtful work to do on your own and hold you accountable to change and doing the work if you say you really want it. Their IOP is Amazing and the sessions lead by Mo changed my life. Dudes awesome 👏 Anyway, never a fun experience but 100% would recommend.

I Was a patient here 5 years ago I started drinking at the age of 14 and got into other stuff at 19. I didn't know how to live life without a buffer Brighton gave me the tools to begin the recovery process I am still clean and sober after a horrible detox from barbiturates and Suboxone, I am thankful and grateful everyday that I made the decision to call and ask Brighton for help. Even after being shipped out to the hospital after 2 weeks they let me back in and gave me the tools and advice to start my recovery process. Thankful and Grateful ❤️

My loved one said it’s the best place they have been. I noticed some reviews that say their loved one was harassed. I’m guessing they are new at this. Most addicts will say anything When they are craving, or actively using. I say this to not only the person that wrote the review, but to everybody reading this that Loves an addict.; I suggest this person Joins Al Anon, Nar Anon, or any support Group that works for you. One thing you learn Is an addict that is actively using, or craving, is lying when their lips move. It looks like a couple months since that review was written, Wondering how their loved one is doing today, I pray they are doing well. I’ve been with my loved one For 20 years. It has taking me all of that time to learn to Love With Detachment. It Has also taken me that amount of time to learn that I have a disease by proxy of loving an addict. Al Anon Has been very helpful to keep my mental health in What could be an otherwise chaotic & dysfunctional life. Everyone, please remember, it is not only the addict that needs help when it comes to addiction. Don’t be afraid to seek it, you will be surprised how many other people are dealing with the same things as you.

I just want to take some time to shed some light on this beautiful painstaking have! Meridian holds the most special place in my heart. They have literally become like a family to me. I was a hard case. I was stubborn and guarded. I'm a hands on learner and it's taken me at least 10 years in and out to receive the gift meridian and sobriety offers! People like jayson murray the p.r.c. there taught me "move a muscle change a thought" or "you just have to draw the line". These things sound simple but when you're actually in a jam and you can hear that voice overcoming this disease the somethings working! Something or someone bigger and far more GREATER than me is moving in my life! Having someone like Jackie willing to put in work day to day to help bridge the gaps for us in a daily basis is LIFE CHANGING! I couldn't ask for a better person to ask for help! The M.T.'s that show up everyday with a smile and love everyday in spite of their own lives is the heart of this program! They all choose to work here and show us unconditional love. Meridian loved me until I could love myself. I can say that I truly do love myself today! Now that I've actually experienced recovery I will stop at nothing less ONE DAY AT A TIME THOUGH! The medical staff is also the heartbeat 💓! I want to give a thank you to Corey for always loving me and treating me like I'm your own, stephanie- I remember saying to you "I just want to be a good person" you didn't even pause when you said "you are a good person you just have a disease, and I mean that"!! I will never forget that! Becky- I just adore you so much, courtney-diddnt get to see yah but I appreciate you and think about you often, Lyndsay and Amanda you guys are rockstars and meghan- I'm so grateful for the program you implemented and all the positive changes happening here!! I have been dosing, attending counseling have 2 recovery coaches and have been inpatient. At this facility, I can't possibly say enough. Good things about them. The staff is friendly, helpful and Always professional, particularly Megan, Sarah, Jacqueline, Hanna,Dave and Kathleen i've been with them for 3 years. Even though it isn't a necessity right now, I would happily go back to inpatient. Just to get some more experience with the staff there. I've been to over 13 rehab facilities, and this one is by far the best. They have also kept me sober.The longest .

I was there at the M.A.T.T.S. Program. They was respectful, helpful, and very patient with rude people. The people there with children should really keep an on their children, not let them run around. They help you if you want to help yourself and your family. They have good meals. The salvation army helps out a lot. They have a social service there that helps you out. You call and then go up there before 8:30 to see if there is a open bed. Thank you Salvation Army 🙏 you have been so helpful.

I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to this rehab center and its staff. No, it’s not a luxury retreat or a spa-like setting—but neither is prison, or worse, the morgue. This place is about recovery, not comfort, and I believe they are doing exactly what they’re meant to do: helping people get their lives back. The staff was kind, dedicated, and truly cared. My son's father recently completed treatment here, and while he shared that it was incredibly tough—physically, emotionally, and mentally—he also said it was nothing compared to the pain of being out on the streets, lost in his addiction. Recovery isn’t supposed to be easy. If it were, addiction wouldn’t be so hard to beat. I’ve seen some reviews criticizing the center for not giving constant updates to family members. I get it—when someone we love is in pain, we want answers, we want involvement, we want to help. But part of the healing process means letting go of that need to control. We didn't have control when our loved ones were in active addiction, and recovery is no different. The program is designed to build independence, accountability, and internal strength. Constant calls, questions, and attempts to interfere, even with good intentions, can undermine that. Trust the process. Let the professionals do their job. It’s not always comfortable—but neither is addiction. Discomfort is part of growth, and growth is what this place is all about. If you're looking for somewhere that offers real recovery—not coddling, but healing—this is it. Let them work, and give your loved one the space to fight for their own life.

Sacred Heart started me on my recovery journey giving me the tools I needed to get sober and stay sober. I hit my 90 days sober in about 2 weeks, and I couldn’t be more happy or proud. I’m so, so, so grateful for what Sacred Heart did for me. Shout out to staff Leslie, Trish, Jessica, Tom, Johnny, Margaret, Joe and Tom#2, Elizabeth, nurses Jane and Jim.. the therapists are amazing (all of them except Maria, she’s awful) the peer recovery coaches are amazing, love the nursing staff, y’all took good care of us. I love you all and maybe I’ll come back one day to help my fellow addicts. Anyone thinking of getting sober and trying to find a good rehab, this is the one, you won’t regret it!!

During a recent admission to New Oakland Family Centers, I met Wendi & Brandy at the front desk. These two ladies were so kind and helpful, as well as interested in constructive thoughts and suggestions from customers. They were engaging and immediately adopted small suggestions that would improve messaging or efficiency at their office. They were very friendly, comforting, and helpful as well. Companies can use more employees like these two! (Middlebelt & 14 Mile location).

I had a great experience with therapy here. When I was through and wanted my notes and paperwork from my time there I called the place and was transferred to medical records where I left a message to return my call. My call was returned within the day and I was emailed my paperwork asap, no problem. I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends.

i competed the adult PHP and i couldn’t be happier about my time at new oakland! i am a healthcare provider myself and the therapists, providers, and support staff are SO genuine and kind. being in a group therapy setting was a scary thought initially but i felt that it was a very safe space to share my experiences. i also enjoyed hearing other’s experiences as it helped to remind me that we are all going through similar issues in life. the therapists even completed the worksheets along side of us and shared their experiences about their own healing journeys which was reassuring. i’ve learned and grown so much during my time here and i am very appreciative of the employees who made it happen: zach, mara, michelle, amber and everyone else. ya’ll deserve a raise LOL. thank you!!! :)

I’ve been through 3 therapists at this clinic, they were very nice people. The service is great, the ladies at the desks are always kind and helpful. Only things I would say is that sometimes the therapists go against your opinions and judgement and make you feel out of place or out of control. BUT all of my experiences here have been pleasant. Loved my past two therapists, Mattie DeBoe (no longer a therapist, moved to higher position) and Kelly anthi. Compared to pine rests outpatient/inpatient care facility, this place is paradise. Their inpatient and outpatient facility has many many issues with the inpatient and resident facilities, the outpatient facilities are very helpful and welcoming, quite opposite of the inpatient.
